Is There A Best MLM Program?
Is there a best MLM program? When I get asked
that question, I have to laugh. Everybody wants to know what the
best program is. Imagine their surprise when I tell them that the
best program isn't going to do you a bit of good if you don't know
what you're doing, use proper advertising methods and know how to
deal with people. They just don't want to hear it. Well, for those
of you who are in that same boat of "just give me a good program
and I'll make it work" then this article is for you. Just don't be
surprised if the MLM opportunity that you got hooked up with
doesn't perform to your specifications.
The best MLM program is the one that has the
best pay plan. At least when all is said and done, that's all
that matters. The rest is superfluous. If your pay plan is garbage,
then people aren't going to get excited enough about the company to
want to join. So if you're looking for an MLM company to get
involved with, you want to find one with the very best pay plan.
That brings us to the next question. What is a good pay plan? This
is where many people have their disagreements. The reason is
because each program has a different type of pay plan and not just
in terms of dollars paid out, but in terms of the way those dollars
are paid out.
The most popular type of MLM pay plan is the
matrix. This is where the company pays on a certain number of
levels, so many deep and so many across. An example of a matrix
would be 3 by 5. In this case, you have 5 levels in the pay plan
and on each level you can have as many as 3 people for each person
on the level. So, if you are on level 1, which you will be, you can
have 3 people under you on your next level. Each person under YOU
can have 3 people under them on their next level, and so on. These
pay plans are popular because you get the most amount of money for
doing the least amount of work, since you have other people helping
you recruit. Each person they get for themselves is another person
for you.
The downside of these pay plans is that many of
them do not compress if people drop out. Ultimately, what happens
is you end up having a lot of holes in between that never get
filled again. As a matrix starts to get larger, it develops more
and more holes until eventually it begins to collapse. So while the
matrix pay plan may be the most popular, it is by no means easy to
make a good income with unless you are a hands on type of "manager"
and can keep your people motivated.
I know what you're saying. I still haven't
answered your question as to if there is a best MLM program. Well,
that's because, as I said up top, there is no such thing. Yes, you
want to find a program that has a real product, is established and
is reputable. Other than that, best is a very relative term.
It all comes down to what YOU are willing to put
into it.
