Quick Ways To Make Money - Selling On Ebay
In this second of a four part series on making
quick money online, we're going to focus on probably one of the
most popular ways to do this, selling on Ebay. You don't even have
to be a professional marketer to make money on Ebay, that's how
easy it is, if you know some basic do's and don'ts. In this
article, we're going to give you a basic outline on how to go about
making some quick cash selling things on Ebay with the least amount
of work and the quickest turnaround time as far as payment.
For those of you who don't know what Ebay is,
it's an auction site. Actually, it's the largest auction site on
the Internet. Commercials for Ebay are even seen on TV, that's how
popular it is. The basic concept of selling on Ebay is very simple.
The majority of people simply look around their home for things
that they no longer want or need and put them up for auction to the
highest bidder. Some people will simply post a firm price for the
item and sell it for that price, hoping that somebody will purchase
it at that price.
So, where do you begin? The first thing you have
to do is open up an account with Ebay. This is very simple to do.
You'll also need to open up an account with PayPal in order to
accept payments easily. Most people don't want to go through the
hassle of getting a merchant account when all they're doing is
selling some trinkets from around the house.
After you open up your account, you simply
gather up as many items from around the house as you feel you will
need to sell in order to make whatever amount of money it is you
feel you need quickly. This is going to vary from person to person,
obviously. You may have trouble parting with some items, but if you
need the money that badly, you'll find a way to do it.
After you find your items,. you go to your Ebay
account and take out an ad for each item. You then mark on the ad
if it's an auction, meaning that you're going to start the bidding
at a specific price or if the item is going to be sold at a set
price. You can do either one. Again, it depends on how much you
need and how much you think you can realistically get for each
item. This is where people get into trouble, either putting up the
item for too much money and not making the sale, or starting the
auction too low and making very little because there is no real
demand for the item. This is why you have to do your homework first
to determine how much you can realistically expect to make.
The payout turnaround time is literally that
day, if the item sells. You can then go to your PayPal account and
request direct deposit into your bank if you have a premier or
business account.
There is no doubt about it. Ebay is one of the
best ways on the Internet to make quick cash.
